She continues to serve as a senior lecturer in marketing and strategic management at two university Business Schools.
She has worked in many different environments from community animation and drama –in-education to corporate strategic planning and turn-around strategies, and has taught innovation and entrepreneurship as far a field as Japan.
A United Nations certified coach and facilitator Dr Harriott has had International consulting assignments in Fiji, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria and USA plus Regional consulting and training in strategic planning, change management and communication skills in Haiti, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and US Virgin Islands and Jamaica.
Her Professional training includes Baccalaureate and Doctorial degrees in the applied sciences from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica and a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University, USA.
In the area of consultation/facilitation skills she trained with National Training Laboratories and Arthur D. Little Institute.
She is a certified MBTI trainer and has pursued various courses in teaching/learning styles, drama in education and community animation.
Dr. Blackwood Harriott is a savvy Entrepreneur, and marketing strategist with a passion to empower people to live their best lives. She currently runs two businesses in enterprise and personal wellness. Dr. Blackwood-Harriott is married to UWI Criminologist Professor Anthony Harriott. They have one daughter, Safi.
